Tioga Pass’s snow-packed road brings many travelers from all over to Yosemite to drive on it. Road clearing begins around April 15th every year, but pavers cannot predict exactly when the road will open. Visit Tioga Pass for current opening and closing dates.
Visit Tunnel View for Yosemite Valley's must-see view, no hiking necessary. Park, head to the vista, and enjoy. Plan to arrive early, especially in the summer, as this a popular viewing destination. Tunnel View offers excellent views of Half Dome, a famous granite formation, and Bridalveil Fall, which is at peak flow in the spring.
